Mr. Eyo Olagoke Ekpo is a seasoned corporate executive, legal practitioner and infrastructure policy expert with over 29 years of experience spanning public policy, regulation, project finance, privatisation and public-private partnerships across the electricity, transportation, telecommunications and public sector reform landscape.

He has held several senior leadership roles in both the public and private sectors, including as Commissioner at the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), where he played a central role in electricity market development, tariff reform and regulatory policy. He also served as Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Cross River State, leading institutional reforms and supporting major infrastructure and public sector initiatives.

Mr. Ekpo has been closely involved in Nigeria’s power sector transformation through his work with the Presidential Task Force on Power and earlier leadership at the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), where he contributed to the design and implementation of Nigeria’s electricity sector reform and privatisation framework.

In the private sector, he served as Executive, Business Development at General Electric Transportation, leading consortium structuring and negotiations for a national rail concession. He currently serves as Director, New Frontier Development Limited, Chief Executive Officer, Excredite Consulting Limited, Director, Afri-Venture Capital Limited, and Member of the Editorial Advisory Board of BusinessDay Media.

Through his advisory work, he has supported Federal and State Governments and development partners on electricity market design and infrastructure reform, including contributions to the legislative and policy processes culminating in the Electricity Act 2023.

Mr. Ekpo brings to the Board deep expertise in infrastructure development, economic regulation, PPP structuring, corporate governance and stakeholder management, with a strong reputation for integrity, sound judgment and execution excellence.
