Levene Energies is strategically positioned within Nigeria’s natural gas and power value chain through its Gas & Infrastructure platform. The company’s expansion into gas distribution reflects a long-term commitment to supporting industrial growth, energy security and cleaner fuel adoption across Nigeria and West Africa.

Through its participation in the BlueCore Gas InfraCo consortium, Levene acquired a 30 percent equity stake in Axxela Limited, one of West Africa’s leading private gas infrastructure and power solutions companies. Axxela develops, owns and operates natural gas processing, transmission and distribution infrastructure, in addition to captive and embedded power generation solutions for industrial and commercial customers.

With over 300 kilometres of gas pipeline infrastructure and more than 200 industrial clients, Axxela plays a critical role in enabling large-scale gas utilisation across key economic corridors. As the first privately owned registered gas shipper on the West African Gas Pipeline, it facilitates cross-border supply to Nigeria, Benin, Togo and Ghana, strengthening regional energy integration.

Levene has also acquired an equity stake in Falcon Corporation Limited, Nigeria’s leading natural gas distribution company. Falcon operates under a long-term concession agreement with NNPC Gas Marketing Limited, holding exclusive gas distribution rights within the Ikorodu Gas Distribution Zone through 2045. Its 32 kilometre pipeline network serves major industrial clients across Lagos’ manufacturing corridor, providing stable and concession-backed revenue streams.

These strategic investments provide Levene with scalable exposure to transmission, distribution and last-mile gas infrastructure. By aligning with proven operators that possess regulatory credibility, long-term concessions and established infrastructure assets, Levene strengthens its footprint in the gas value chain while positioning itself for sustained growth in cleaner energy delivery.

Through this integrated gas strategy, Levene advances industrial competitiveness, supports fuel switching from liquid fuels to natural gas and contributes to Nigeria’s transition toward more reliable and efficient energy systems.
